Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient preparation, vital sign measurement, and specimen collection
- Perform administrative duties including appointment scheduling, medical record management, and insurance verification
- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Administer medications under provider supervision and document patient responses
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow and quality care delivery
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
