Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Prepare patients for visits, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain clean exam rooms
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Schedule appointments and handle basic administrative tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or willing to complete within 90 days
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR/BLS certification preferred (will provide training)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
