Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Perform basic clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Manage patient intake, medical records, and electronic health documentation
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care communications
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) a plus but not required
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality
- Willingness to complete on-the-job training if inexperienced
