Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures.
- Perform and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient intake, including verifying insurance information and completing initial paperwork.
- Update and maintain accurate medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Enforce strict infection control protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with using technology in a healthcare setting.
- Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
