As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in patient care and practice operations. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Administer medications and injections under strict physician supervision.
- Manage patient scheduling, confirm appointments, and handle incoming calls professionally.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by following infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA is preferred; however, we will consider qualified candidates willing to obtain certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quick to learn new software platforms.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
