Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform vital sign measurements, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
- Prepare patients for examination and explain treatment procedures.
- Manage patient records and medical documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide pre- and post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with EMR systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for on-site duties).
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient privacy (HIPAA compliance).
