Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses during patient examinations and minor procedures.
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight, etc.).
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by providers.
- Manage patient intake, including updating electronic health records (EHR) and medical histories.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, handle incoming calls, and manage front desk administrative tasks.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centric attitude.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health record software.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and immunization requirements.
