Job Overview:
As an Entry Level Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the best possible care. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and manage check-in processes in a friendly, professional manner.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical instruments for patient visits.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, including taking vitals and documenting medical history.
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as urine dipsticks and EKGs under supervision.
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, filing, and answering phones.
- Ensure patient privacy and comfort at all times while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Handle patient follow-up calls and medication refills as directed by providers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certificate as a Medical Assistant is a plus but not required for this entry-level position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and occasional evenings.
