Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic clinical duties including taking vital signs, recording patient history, and preparing patients for exams.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and verifying insurance information.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens accurately and in a timely manner.
- Greet patients warmly, answer phones, and manage the front desk reception area efficiently.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols.
- Provide patient education on medications, diet, and lifestyle changes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- CPR certification is required.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
