Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, managing check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, preparing instruments and maintaining exam rooms.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and draw blood samples (phlebotomy) following strict safety protocols.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers.
- Manage patient records electronically, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Answer phone inquiries and schedule appointments accurately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is a plus but not required for entry-level applicants.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.
- Willingness to obtain BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire.
