Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify demographic information, and prepare them for examinations.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers with examinations, prepare treatment rooms, and sterilize medical instruments.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage patient charts, schedule appointments, and handle incoming calls with professionalism.
- Lab Duties: Perform basic lab tests, such as urinalysis and blood draws, following strict safety protocols.
- Medication Management: Assist with medication reconciliation and ensuring patients understand their prescriptions.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; CMA or RMA certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Experience: Previous medical assisting experience is preferred but not required; we train the right candidates.
- Skills: Strong computer literacy and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, empathy, and a strong attention to detail are essential.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
