Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and basic clinical tasks
- Accurately document patient information in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient communication via telehealth platforms
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Administer medications under physician supervision
- Handle billing codes and insurance verification remotely
- Maintain HIPAA compliance for all patient data
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (CNA or medical assistant certification preferred)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen a plus)
- Ability to work both in-clinic and remotely with reliable internet
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication skills for patient interactions
