Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vital sign measurements
- Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures
- Administer medications and injections per protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate patient education and follow-up care
- Manage appointment scheduling and inventory
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certification or equivalent
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid state license (TX or VA as applicable)
