Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, verify personal information, and prepare them for examinations.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses with examinations, take vital signs, and record patient histories accurately.
- Lab Procedures: Perform basic laboratory tests, such as EKGs and urine analysis, and prepare samples for testing.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient charts, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Inventory: Maintain cleanliness of exam rooms and restock medical supplies and equipment.
- Communication: Communicate test results and treatment plans to patients in a clear and compassionate manner.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certificate or Diploma preferred.
- Experience: Entry Level candidates welcome! Previous experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with medical software (Epic, AthenaHealth, etc.) is a plus.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification is preferred.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
