As a Medical Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a professional and welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure infection control standards.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor medical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as directed by the provider.
- Update and maintain accurate patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and facilitate referrals to specialists.
- Greet patients and verify insurance information upon check-in.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CPR Certification (Basic Life Support) is preferred but we offer training for the right candidate.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy is a plus.
