What You Will Do
Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and prepare them for their appointments with efficiency and empathy.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rates.
- Assistance: Aid physicians and nurses during examinations, prepare examination rooms, and sterilize medical equipment.
- Administrative Support: Manage medical records, schedule follow-up appointments, and handle incoming calls and messages.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with minor procedures under supervision.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medications and post-care procedures to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; we value attitude and aptitude over experience.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) software is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
