Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
- Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) accurately.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs under supervision.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and manage patient intake forms.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary clinical environment.
- Update patient charts and medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical software is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- CPR certification (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Strong attention to detail and a compassionate demeanor.
