Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens according to strict health protocols.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient records, including updating Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate patient scheduling and handle front-desk administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
- Current or willingness to obtain BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical software is a plus.
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
