Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and prepare examination rooms for provider visits.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assistance: Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR), schedule appointments, and handle patient billing inquiries.
- Specimen Collection: Perform basic lab duties including blood draws and specimen processing under supervision.
- Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Certification: CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification preferred (willing to obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Technical: Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic health records software.
