Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures and patient examinations
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Perform basic diagnostic tests (EKG, vital signs, phlebotomy)
- Manage electronic health records and patient documentation
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Administer injections and medications per physician orders
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or eligible to obtain within 90 days
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
