Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during treatments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and patient scheduling
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Sterilize equipment and maintain clean clinical environments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) a plus
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical settings
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
