Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Take vital signs, medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Manage patient flow and maintain examination room sterility
- Document patient information accurately in EHR systems
- Prepare and administer medications under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program or willingness to complete within 90 days
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain immediately
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
