Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies accurately and efficiently
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility before service delivery
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on claim denials
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies
- Utilize billing software (Epic/NextGen preferred) for claim submissions
- Document all billing activities in compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
