Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgeries
- Transport patients to and from operating rooms safely
- Stock and maintain surgical supplies in sterile environments
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with RNs and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- No prior surgical tech experience required
- Willingness to complete our paid on-the-job training program
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique commitment
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain during training)
- Pass background check and drug screening
