Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims using Epic and NextGen software
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits information
- Follow up on claim denials and appeals
- Maintain accurate patient account records in EHR systems
- Communicate professionally with patients and insurance providers
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and coding regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve billing discrepancies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, data entry)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn complex medical terminology and coding
