Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in prescription preparation, dispensing, and verification processes
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of medications
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and HIPAA standards
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize pharmacy operations
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior pharmacy experience necessary – we provide all training
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn pharmacy software
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician registration within 90 days of hire
