Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including restocking and ordering supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Prepare and maintain sterile compounding areas following safety protocols
- Operate pharmacy software systems and POS technology
- Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- No prior pharmacy experience necessary - we provide full training!
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn pharmacy systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Excellent communication skills and customer service mindset
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- NY State Pharmacy Technician registration within 90 days of hire
