Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following strict safety protocols
- Process, label, and transport specimens accurately to laboratory departments
- Verify patient identity and prepare equipment for blood collection procedures
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and adhere to infection control standards
- Provide exceptional patient care with empathy and clear communication
- Document all procedures accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior phlebotomy experience necessary - training provided
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain during employment)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
