Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with minimal supervision.
- Verify patient identity and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Label, log, and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis accurately and efficiently.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and provide a calming and professional patient experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment in the phlebotomy station.
- Assist with inventory management of blood collection supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Willingness to complete state-required phlebotomy certification training.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Basic computer literacy for logging patient information.
