Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units under supervision of experienced RNs
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in shift handovers and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN required)
- Active Illinois RN license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care settings
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Compassionate approach with diverse patient populations
