Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Monitor vital signs and document patient information accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, infection control standards, and hospital policies
- Participate in shift handovers and maintain effective communication with care team
- Assist in emergency response situations and critical care monitoring
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ADN/BSN) from accredited institution
- Active Illinois RN license (or ability to obtain by start date)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
- Clinical rotation experience in hospital setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends as needed
- Commitment to professional development and continuing education
