Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under supervision in medical-surgical units
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and care plans using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Participate in 12-week clinical residency with dedicated preceptor
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Attend weekly skills workshops and professional development sessions
Qualifications
- California RN license (or eligible to sit for NCLEX)
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Completion of nursing program within 12 months
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Commitment to 18-month employment agreement
- Passionate about serving Oakland's diverse patient population
- No prior nursing experience required
