Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units with 4-6 patient assignments
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient assessments and care plans in electronic health records
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop patient-centered care strategies
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to emergency situations
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN)
- Active Indiana RN license or eligibility
- ACLS/BLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care setting
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
