Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment implementation
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation using Epic systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and discharge protocols
- Adhere to NY State nursing regulations and Joint Commission standards
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency interventions
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN license (required)
- BSN degree from accredited nursing program (preferred)
- Passing NCLEX-RN results (unrestricted)
- CPR/BLS certification (with ACLS preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays
