Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units under supervision of RN preceptors
- Administer medications and treatments accurately using barcode scanning technology
- Document patient assessments and interventions in Epic EMR system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition per protocol
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and preventive care
- Participate in shift handoffs and safety huddles
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN required)
- Active Arizona RN license (or compact license with Arizona endorsement)
- Pass NCLEX-RN exam (results required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care settings
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong documentation skills and proficiency with EMR systems
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
