Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and facility protocols
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations safely and accurately
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge instructions
- Monitor vital signs and respond to emergency situations following ACLS protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety audits
Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited institution
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care setting preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
- Commitment to professional development through continuing education
