Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, wound care, and treatment monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations
- Participate in shift handoffs and unit quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico RN license (or compact license with quick endorsement)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Recent graduate (within 12 months) or 1-2 years of clinical experience
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable within 90 days
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and compassion for diverse patient populations
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic proficiency with electronic health record systems (EPIC experience a plus)
