Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units under RN supervision
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment home care instructions
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in shift handovers and patient safety initiatives
- Complete orientation modules and skill development workshops
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Active Illinois RN license or eligibility to obtain immediately
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
- Clinical rotation experience in hospital setting preferred
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
