Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units under supervision
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs per clinical protocols
- Document patient assessments and treatment plans in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for coordinated treatment
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and discharge planning
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety regulations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit committees
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN/BSN required)
- Active Kansas RN license (or compact license with intent to obtain KS license)
- ACLS/BLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days of hire)
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care setting preferred
- Basic knowledge of EMR documentation systems
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
