Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate patient care across diverse units including medical-surgical, telemetry, and progressive care
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precise documentation
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary rounds to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vitals and respond rapidly to changes in clinical status
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and self-care techniques
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and Joint Commission standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Active North Carolina RN license (or eligibility)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS/PALS preferred for critical care rotations
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Previous clinical rotations or externships in acute care settings preferred
