Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by taking vitals, medical history, and performing physical exams.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient conditions and response to care, reporting changes to the care team.
- Document patient care activities and medical information accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patient care.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Illinois.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school (Associate's or Bachelor's degree).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Willingness to cross-train and learn new clinical procedures.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
