Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing protocols and physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document medical histories accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Administer medications and treatments while maintaining sterile procedures
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care plans and medication management
- Participate in emergency response situations including CPR and trauma care
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety regulations
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Texas (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care settings
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced emergency situations
- Commitment to continuing education in nursing practices
