Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established medical protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vitals, symptoms, and responses to treatments, escalating concerns immediately.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment options.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Adhere strictly to hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (ADN or BSN).
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to ethical patient care.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
