Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings under supervision of RN preceptors
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist in emergency response situations and critical care monitoring
- Participate in orientation and skills validation programs for new nurses
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety protocols
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys
Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care or similar setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
