Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in acute care settings following established protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting in electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition promptly
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures
- Adhere to all state nursing regulations and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/BSN) required
- Active Texas RN license or eligible to obtain within 30 days
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA
- Clinical rotation experience in acute care setting preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
