Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units under RN supervision
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient assessments accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance, safety protocols, and hospital policies
- Participate in shift handovers and quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation
Qualifications
- Valid California RN license (or eligible to obtain by start date)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited program
- Recent graduate or <1 year of clinical RN experience preferred
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and weekends as needed
