Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile equipment before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle and sterilize surgical instruments per hospital protocols
- Document equipment usage and inventory accurately
- Transport patients and specimens safely and efficiently
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety standards
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred (training provided)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
