Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient assessments using standardized triage protocols
- Prioritize cases based on medical urgency and acuity levels
- Accurately document patient information in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to coordinate care pathways
- Provide clear patient education on next steps and treatment plans
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication skills in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced emergency settings
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
