Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and restorations
- Take and develop dental X-rays with proficiency in digital imaging
- Manage patient flow, sterilize instruments, and maintain operatory hygiene
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under supervision
- Update patient charts and manage electronic dental records (EDR) systems
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and manage dental supply inventory
Qualifications
- Minnesota Dental Assistant certification (DALECC or DANB)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-ray) and imaging software
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or dental practice management software
