Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Assist dentists during exams, cleanings, and complex treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures
- Handle patient scheduling and front desk operations
- Maintain accurate dental records and patient documentation
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) or RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification and current BLS certification
